Le temple Seiganto-ji (\u9752 \u5cb8 \u6e21 \u5bfa) est un temple bouddhiste Tendai dans la pr\u00e9fecture de Wakayama, au Japon. En 2004, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 inscrit comme site du patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO en m\u00eame temps que d’autres lieux alentour, sous le nom de \u00ab\u00a0sites sacr\u00e9s et chemins de p\u00e8lerinage dans les monts Kii\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n
Selon une l\u00e9gende, il fut fond\u00e9 par le pr\u00eatre Ragy\u014d Shonin, un moine venu d’Inde. Le temple a \u00e9t\u00e9 volontairement construit pr\u00e8s de la cascade Nachi Falls, o\u00f9 il peut avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 un lieu de culte de la nature. Seiganto-ji fait partie du complexe de temple Kumano Sanzan, et en tant que tel peut \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme l’un des rares jing\u016bji (temples sanctuaire) encore en existence apr\u00e8s la s\u00e9paration forc\u00e9e de la religion Shinto et du bouddhisme par le gouvernement japonais lors de la restauration Meiji.<\/p>\n
