Cette f\u00eate a lieu chaque ann\u00e9e durant le mois de Novembre (principalement le 15 Novembre) pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer la croissance et le bien-\u00eatre des jeunes enfants. Les ages 3, 5 et 7 ans sont compatibles avec la num\u00e9rologie de l&rsquo;Asie de l&rsquo;Est, dans laquelle les nombres impairs portent chance. La pratique s&rsquo;est fix\u00e9e au\u00a0quinzi\u00e8me jour du mois pendant la p\u00e9riode Kamakura.<\/p>\n<p>Au fil du temps, cette tradition s&rsquo;est transmise \u00e0 la classe des samoura\u00efs qui ont ajout\u00e9 un certain nombre de rituels. Les enfants &#8211; qui, jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e2ge de trois ans devaient par la coutume avoir des t\u00eates ras\u00e9es &#8211; ont \u00e9t\u00e9 autoris\u00e9s \u00e0 se laisser pousser les\u00a0cheveux.
