Ordination of a Priest, Kyoto

This post is also available in: French

I was really quite lucky the other day.  The autumn season was coming to a close and the beautiful gardens had lost most of their leaves.  Winter was definitely around.  A couple of days before leaving Kyoto, I took advantage of a very clear sky to do a little tour of the Northern West part of the city.  I went to visit Kinkaku-Ji (the Golden Pavilion), Ryoan-Ji and its stone zen garden, and Ninna-Ji, three World heritage Unesco sites.

In Ninna-Ji, I heard singing and approached to one of the large hall.  It was full of priests and an ordination was about to start.
