At the Bac Ha market, North Vietnam

This post is also available in: French

The weekly Bac Ha market is one of my favorite place in North Vietnam.  Easily accessible in the northern hills of Vietnam, it is one of the best ethnic markets in all of Southeast Asia!  On Sundays, the Flower Hmong and other ethnic minorities from the surrounding villages come on foot, scooters, horses, and water buffalos for their weekly opportunity to socialize, eat, drink, smoke, get a haircut, sell and buy various products and items.  All these traditional costumes are a mix of colorful plaids and stripes, a real pleasure for any photographer.
