During our stay in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, we didn’t miss the change of the guards that takes place every day twenty minutes before noon. There is a little parade and review of the guard’s arms. This small ceremony involves a formation of 12 soldiers and horsemen, accompanied by armourers, trumpeters, drummers, standard bearers and the commander (the photo). The whole event gave us an insight into the lost traditions of soldiers from the glorious past.
Through the establishment in 1664 of the Croatian regiment, the Royal Cravates, in the French Royal Army, the cravate officially received a certificate of originality.
